Our Common Story

Commongg started with a simple idea: to be the best social network for gamers where gaming communities can come together, share, and interact. Our founders Flur, Darkorin, and Avni all met through streaming on Twitch under the game Teamfight Tactics. Flur wanted to make a new social network focused on gaming and the rest is history. We are now a small and agile team of 10 employees making the dream come true.

For those who don’t know, Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is an auto chess strategy game made by Riot Games (same creators of League of Legends and Valorant). We found that on a fundamental level there was a gap in the market for commongg because there isn’t a singular place for gamers to consume gaming-focused content. Through 40+ user interviews of people within the TFT community ran by Avni we learned that:

Twitter — great user interface but fragmented in terms of gaming content*

Twitch — primarily focused on live streaming; a great choice but requires time and commitment that not everyone has

Discord — gaming-focused in an amazing way, but different servers make it difficult to consume consolidated gaming content in one place

Reddit — uninviting community; content is not focused on individual profiles, so social connections are rare

We understand the need to focus and start small so we chose Teamfight Tactics as our starting point. TFT is the market we know best and we will be rolling out more games in the future. We’ve been recruiting active beta testers to help build our community and hope you can follow us along on this journey. Look forward to our official launch in early January.

If you’re interested in what we’re doing here, please reach out to us on Discord, Twitter, or email.

* Twitter example mentioned above

You’re an up & coming TFT player (let’s call you player A) and another person, let’s say me is an up & coming TFT player (player B). It will be basically impossible for us to discover each other’s content on twitter since we would both have so few followers and visibility.
